Nicole's poetry has appeared in the print journals Scarp, Silver Cord, and Crossroads; in the anthologies Grieve VI (Hunter Writers Centre, 2018), Poetry for the Planet (Litoria Books, 2021), Love: Lifespan Volume 4 (Pure Slush Books, 2021), and Newcastle Poetry Prize Anthology 2021 (Hunter Writers Centre, 2021); and in the online journals Plumwood Mountain, The Enchanting Verses Literary Review, Three Drops from a Cauldron, Return to Mago, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, The Blue Nib, Burrow, TEXT, and Australian Poetry Collaboration.
Her poems have co-won the Society of Women Writers Tasmania Robyn Mathison Poetry Prize (2019), won the Hunter Writers Centre-Newcastle Art Gallery Ekphrastic Reading prize and the Watermark Poem of the Week prize, placed second in the Fellowship of Australian Writers Alice Sinclair Memorial Writing Competition (2020), and shortlisted for the Newcastle Poetry Prize (2021).
Her ecopoetry collection co-authored with Rebecca Trowbridge, Fossilised Lightning, was published by Girls on Key Poetry in 2021.
Fiction
Nicole's speculative short stories have featured in Emerald Egg, Zodiac Tales, and Eternal Haunted Summer; and in the anthologies The Story Hunters Volumes 1 and 2 (Hunter Writers Centre, 2019, 2021) and Reset (Hawkeye Books, 2021).
Her flash fiction longlisted in the Sydney Hammond Memorial Short Story Competition (2020).
Her ecofantasy novel and cli-fi novella are in progress.
Nonfiction
Nicole has published articles and reviews in Spiral Nature, Rochford Street Review, and International Light magazines, and written training units for International Yoga Teachers Association, YogaUOnline, and Australis College of Natural Health.
The late Raven Grimassi called Nicole's review of his book Grimoire of the Thorn-Blooded Witch "one of the fairest and most balanced reviews any of my books have ever received."
