Nicole's poetry has appeared in the print journals Scarp, Silver Cord, and Crossroads, in the anthology Grieve VI (Hunter Writers Centre, 2018), and in the online journals Plumwood Mountain, The Enchanting Verses Literary Review, Three Drops from a Cauldron, Return to Mago, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, and The Blue Nib.
Her poems have won the Society of Women Writers Tasmania Robyn Mathison Poetry Prize (2019), the Hunter Writers Centre-Newcastle Art Gallery Ekphrastic Reading prize, and the Watermark Poem of the Week prize, and placed second in the Fellowship of Australian Writers Alice Sinclair Memorial Writing Competition (2020).
Her first book, Fossilised Lightning, an ecopoetry collaboration with Rebecca Trowbridge, is forthcoming in 2021 (Girls on Key Poetry).
Nicole's speculative short stories have featured in Emerald Egg, Zodiac Tales, Eternal Haunted Summer, and the anthologies The Story Hunters (Hunter Writers Centre, 2019) and Reset (Hawkeye Books, forthcoming in 2021).
Her flash fiction was longlisted in the Sydney Hammond Memorial Short Story Award (2020).
She is working on a novel and a novella.
Nicole has published articles and reviews in Spiral Nature and International Light magazines, and written training units for International Yoga Teachers Association, YogaUOnline, and Australis College of Natural Health.
The late Raven Grimassi called Nicole's review of his book Grimoire of the Thorn-Blooded Witch "one of the fairest and most balanced reviews any of my books have ever received."
